Are you new to Dubai and want to find a property to rent? These simple steps will help you in this search and in the process that must be done.

1. Property search

Some websites, such as Property Finder or Dubizzle, offer the option to filter the search with details of the property you are looking for. In addition you can visit the following link: http://bit.ly/3bsxHnZ for our own selection of properties.

Some filter options you can consider are:

  • Location – check how far it is from your office, schools, public transportation or road network.
  • Annual Rent – price range according to your budget
  • Number of cheques
  • Property size
  • Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
  • Furnished or unfurnished
  • Facilities that the property or building has (Gym, Swimming pool and others)
  • Number of allocated parking spaces

2. Shortlist

After you have done your search and you have saved several options, the next step is to start calling the dedicated agent to schedule a visit to the properties. Ask all the questions you have based on your search filters, and tell your agent the day you would like to move

3. Security deposit

You will be asked to make a deposit either in cash or by cheque. Usually it is 5% of the annual amount of the rent and a deposit will reserve your apartment.

4. Documents

The delivery of documents to your agent is an important point for this to start the corresponding process.

Passport copy

Residence visa copy or if the visa is in process, you should only present a letter from your sponsor / company proving that your visa is under process.

5. Signing the Tenancy Contract

The agent will send you a Tenancy Contract that includes all the information about the property; we recommend you read it carefully along with any Terms & Conditions and Addendums.

Contract will also be signed by the owner of the property both will have a copy and you will receive the keys and access cards to the property.
