Dubai always seeks innovation and seeks to develop futuristic projects for the benefit of its citizens. Dubai is an example for the rest of the world!
To maintain this ambitious vision, just a few days ago, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) signed an agreement with BeemCar LTD, based in the United Kingdom, to develop aerial capsules, a futuristic urban mobility scheme. RTA revealed that the system works with steel wheels that move on suspended rails.
The vehicle is able to move horizontally up to an angle of 30 degrees.
Two developed models have been revealed, we tell you a little about each one:
The first model of the Dubai Sky Pod project was shown during the World Government Summit last year in Dubai. The air capsules which runs alongside Dubai Metro, it can carry two riders, offers a private space for individual transport, can travel at a maximum speed of 150 km / h and transport about 20,000 people per hour.
Designed to transport passengers at a distance of up to 200 km and accommodate up to five passengers traveling at a maximum speed of 150 km / h, it supports approximately 50,000 passengers per hour and the unit can accommodate one to six riders.
It is not yet known when the Sky Pods will appear in the city, however, tests are expected to begin by 2022.
